    Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone
The C414 EB P48 was a variation of the C414EB. Both were multipattern FET mics built around AKG’s CK-12 capsule, but the P48 version was released 4 years after the EB, and differed in the following ways:

While the C414EB could run on as little as 9VDC phantom power, and used a DC-DC converter to generate the capsule’s required polarization voltage, the C414 EB P48 required a full 48VDC phantom power, and contained no DC-DC converter.
Early production runs of the C414EB used brass-ring CK-12 capsules. Although we have seen reports of some C414EB-P48 with brass CK-12s, we believe most of the P48 mics had nylon CK-12s.
The P48 had higher sensitivity — it was rated at 9mV/Pa, as compared to the EB (6 mV/Pa).
The P48 had slightly higher impedance, at 200Ω.
The P48 was available in black; the C414EB was available in silver.
Both mics offered a 3-way pad (0, -10, -20dB) and a 3-way high-pass filter (flat, -12dB/octave @ 75 or 150Hz), and four polar patterns: Cardioid, Omni, Hypercardioid, Figure of 8. All these features were selectable via switches built into the microphone body.

    Like the original C 414 EB, the C414EB P48 shipped with a stand adapter (AKG p/n SA 18/3), a foam windscreen (p/n W 26), and a plot of the mic’s frequency-response curve.
